You can even choose to pick up your order in the store – at no additional cost! For all in-store pick up orders, please allow 1 business day for your order to be processed. Northwood University Bookstore is proud to offer you the most competitive shipping rates. All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items in route.
On average, allow 24 to 48 hours to process your order, and your order should arrive in 7 - 10 working days. During August or December, delivery time may take longer. Due to increasing shipping costs, your shipping cost could be greater than originally quoted; and if this occurs we will contact you to discuss available options. International and Canada shipping, are additional costs. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
All textbook refunds must be accompanied by the Northwood University Bookstore receipt.
For Books purchased before start of classes have 2 days from date of purchase. Must have your receipt
For Books purchased during the first week of term, you have 5 business days from the first day of the term to return. Must have your receipt.
Texts for Mini Classes, Express Classes, Correspondence, and Seminars are non returnable.
Textbooks [new and used] for traditional Fall, Winter, and Spring terms may be returned for full refund during the first 5 calendar days from the first day of the term, providing the books are in original condition, with no obliterations, and providing books are accompanied by the original sales receipt from the bookstore. The Northwood University Bookstore managers reserve the right to determine the condition of any book and also reserve the right to determine whether or not any particular book or item is acceptable for return.
Textbooks [new and used] for ADP regular classes(6 to8 wks) are 2 days from date of purchase, in original condition, and must be accompanied by the receipt. (No refunds on ADP Seminar texts or express classes.)
Textbooks [new and used] for Mini's, Express Classes, Seminars, and Correspondence are all final sales, no returns.
Textbooks returned with proof of withdrawal / drop slip will be refunded at the same percentage as the Northwood University Tuition Refund Policy:
- From 8-14 days after classes start: 80% Returned
- From 15-21 days after classes start: 70% Returned
- From 22-28 days after classes start: 60% Returned
- From 29-35 days after classes start: 50% Returned
- More than 35 days after classes start: 0% Returned
Trade Books (non-required titles) are non-returnable. Trade book categories
that are non-returnable include Writing & Study Aides, Languages,
Dictionaries, College & Test Prep, Job Search & Resume. Due to the
short length of the sessions, Mini and Summer Textbooks are non-refundable.
Supplies, gifts, clothing and other non-text merchandise may be returned within sixty (60) days from the date of purchase in original unused condition with no stains, lint, or pet hair. All such items must be accompanied by the original Northwood University Bookstore sales receipt. All clearance items are final sales, no returns or exchanges. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Electronics / Software returns: Please note that Headphones, Microphones, Batteries, Calculators, Computer Software and Flash Drives are non-returnable if opened. If the product is open and is defective, you will need to contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
Return Policy Instructions
Include the packing slip and receipt (receipt can be reprinted on the order history page) with your return. Repackage your item(s) in the original packaging or in an appropriate cardboard box. Using packing material (e.g. Styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, etc) around your item(s), pack and tape your package securely. Select a carrier that offers you the option to insure and track your package. UPS, FedEx, and USPS all offer this option. Insuring and tracking your package protects you as the shipper and helps ensure your shipment goes to the correct destination in the same condition it was as when you sent it. Write down your tracking number and keep it until Northwood University Bookstore has refunded your money. All clearance items are final sales, no returns or exchanges. Arrange for a carrier to pick up your package or drop it off with the carrier. Shipping is the responsibility of the customer and is not refundable, unless due to our error. No credit is given for lost or damaged packages in route to Northwood University Bookstore. Please insure and track your package. Returns to Northwood University Bookstore will be refunded to the original credit card or account used for payment unless a different payment option was selected. A refund will be posted to your credit card or account once your return is received and processed. Processing times for returns vary, and may take up to 30 days from the day the return is received for a credit to be transmitted to your credit card or account. It normally takes 2-10 business days for financial institutions to process the transmitted credit request.back to top
